About Our Name
With most of the nation vigilantly spraying and uprooting every dandelion in their yard, I thought I might share with you why we chose dandelions as our emblem.
When deciding on a business name, I wanted a name that reflected the innocence, wonder and beauty that makes childhood such a magical time. Children find joy in such simple things: banging on pots and pans, cutting a piece of paper with scissors, listening to a story, singing, dancing, running for the sheer joy of running, gathering “treasures” outside, and picking bouquets of dandelions for mother. During the process of growing up, we somehow loose much of the simplistic joys we felt as children. Banging on pots and pans becomes noise, running becomes exercise and dandelions become weeds. Having children is reminding me of life’s simple joys. The simple joys of dandelions in the summer.

Children’s Song Books
Whether its on key or not, children love to hear their parents singing. Because of the emotional bond shared between parent and child, a parent’s singing touches the heart of a child in a special way. Our new song books are made especially for parents. Each song book contains dozens of songs and includes a learning music CD. The CDs are a tool to help the parent learn the songs to sing them to their children. These books are an essential home resource and make a very thoughtful gift.

Springtime is here! The birds are singing, the trees are decorated with blossoms and new leaves and, much to my children’s delight, dandelions are everywhere!
