The Green Star Juicer is a triturating juicer, which means that it grinds, mashes and compresses the foods processed. Its twin gears rotate at a slow speed, only 110 RPMs. Because of its low RPMs, heat and impact shock are virtually eliminated which significantly reduces oxidation. This means more nutrients survive the juicing process. There are magnets built into the rotating Twin Gears which provides further protection from oxidation. The magnets also enhance the paramagnetic properties of alkaline minerals such as potassium, calcium and magnesium. The Green Star Juicer’s slow RPMs coupled with the built in magnets reduce the rate of oxidation so much that you are able to store the juice in the refrigerator overnight with minimal loss of nutritional value. Dr. Norman Walker experimented with slowly grinding and compressing vegetables and found that toxic metals with high specific gravities (i.e. mercury and lead) naturally bind to the cellulose (the pulp). The Green Star Juicer’s slow grinding and compressing properties produce a juice that is virtually pulp free, which would indicate that toxic metals with high specific gravities remain out of the juice. This is a plus for those who do not always have organic produce to juice.
