Babies and children’s skin are more delicate than adult’s skin. Their skin absorbs substances through their skin more readily than does adult skin. And some babies and children simply have more sensitive skin than others. The importance of carefully selected, natural body care products for children was clearly demonstrated to me with one of my girls. My daughter had sensitive skin from birth. Even some natural ingredients would bother her skin. When she was one she developed eczema that we couldn’t get to go away. I was ready to start an elimination diet with her, since so often eczema is linked to food intolerances. At that time we switched to using all Weleda products.
