The natural rubber crib mattress is Dandelion Summers' most supportive organic crib mattress. The innersprings and foam of conventional crib mattresses are replaced with natural rubber.  Dandelion Summers healthy crib mattresses use Latex Green Rubber, which has been third party tested for toxic VOCs. We do not use ANY synthetic or nondisclosed hidden fibers so you can be assured of total purity. The natural rubber is surrounded by an inner layer of wool sheared from certified organic sheep and processed according to organic standards.  The wool in all of our organic crib mattresses is thick enough to make the organic crib mattress naturally flame retardant without the use of any added chemicals.  The wool surrounding the rubber protects the mattress from moisture, so it's like having a built-in wool puddle pad for your mattress. Our organic crib mattresses are standard crib size, which is 28” wide and 52” long, and you can choose between our 4.5" and 6" thicknesses.
